Location location location!
This little Mulde-city located on Leipzig's doorstep and hedging the Duebener Heathlands is a great place to live, work (refer to this link
"Business") and play. It is in this city that one can truly experience and enjoy the amalgamation and harmonization of an urban infrastructure with a rural, country atmosphere.
The
Bypass Highway B 87, completed in the year 2004, has dramatically diminished the amount of traffic flow within the city limits. The benefits of this have become increasingly apparent in Eilenburg's Old Town (spanning the better part of the city centre, including City Hall, the Nikolai church, the "Roter Hirsch" tavern, and the Leprechaun well), but most notably on the historic castle mount. Both of these districts are undergoing extensive redevelopment.
Of course private property is also available for those looking to make their own mark here in Eilenburg, for example
the residential areas of the Leipziger Plateau. Naturally condominiums and apartments (for sale or rent) are always other attractive options for those looking to settle here and can be found through the "Eilenburger Wohnungsbau- und Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH" (Eilenburger Domestic Construction and Management Association GmbH), various residential co-ops or private offers.
